Standard Microarray

From whole genome expression studies to lower density array analysis of a smaller, focused set of genes, Beckman Coulter Genomics offers the complete range of Affymetrix and Agilent microarrays. We work with our clients to design the most effective transcript profiling experiment by selecting arrays and target labeling technologies that are best suited to their research goals. We can also help you determine the optimal the number and types of replicates to use, and select the most powerful data analysis methods.

Beckman Coulter Genomics provides uncompromising security and chain of custody, using a barcode-driven LIMS to track samples from the moment they arrive in our facilities. Our experienced scientists can purify RNA from a multitude of tissues, using rigorously defined, fully-validated Standard Operating Procedures.

Rigorous quality control analysis of purified RNA and target labeling reaction products is followed by multiple QC steps during array hybridization, scanning and image analysis. Beckman Coulter Genomics uses Rosetta Resolver*, JMP*, R, and other leading-edge bioinformatics tools for data analysis.

Samples

Clients can provide fresh-frozen tissues, formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues, blood, cell pellets, or purified non-degraded total RNA. We have extensive experience working with many different sample types including plant and fungal tissues. Please inquire for difficult or challenging sample types.

Reporting

Gene expression reports are delivered via secure ftp and include result data (in tab delimited, MAGE-ML, or custom format) and quality control data (including sample, labeled target, and data QC). We provide all raw data, including scanned array images and extracted data resulting from image analysis.
