MicroRNA Microarray

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of small non-coding RNAs that have been found in animals, plants, and viruses. These small RNAs are believed to modulate the expression of over one-third of human genes. Agilent’s Human miRNA Microarray Version 3 contains probes for 866 human and 89 viral microRNAs from the Sanger miRBase Release 12.0. The generation of complete miRNA expression profiles using robust and highly sensitive microarrays allows broad insight into human miRNA expression and regulation.

Beckman Coulter Genomics was the first Agilent Certified Service Provider for the miRNA microarray platform.

Using the Agilent miRNA microarray platform, Beckman Coulter Genomics enables:

  • Detection of all possible miRNAs in a sample
  • High sensitivity and specificity
  • Use of total RNA, eliminating the bias in miRNA isolation or enrichment
  • Working with small input amounts of precious samples
  • Design of custom microRNA microarrays using miRBase content
